Job Placement Programs
Many resources are available for you and your loved ones to assist with job placement. Whether you are seeking new skills, are homeless, or have been incarcerated, the Workforce Development Aging & Community Services (WDACS) offers several programs that may assist in job placement.
If you or someone you know is homeless or on the verge of becoming homeless, HireUp can help. The HireUp Career Pathway Program is tailored for individuals who are ready to work, but facing housing difficulties.
Those who may be facing employment barriers because of previous incarceration can benefit from Innovative Employment Solutions or INVEST. It is designed for individuals who are currently on probation and are having trouble finding a job. INVEST increases access and support to probationers by providing education and training services.
Los Angeles Regional Initiative for Social Enterprise (LA: RISE) is a comprehensive job placement program. LA: RISE works with the City/County of Los Angeles workforce agencies to help youth, those with employment barriers, or people have experienced homelessness find and keep jobs.
